Becky Tapp
Chairwoman of the Board · Owner & Founder
Becky is a registered nurse, a mother of children with autism, and the visionary behind Holiday Miniature Farm. She created this 4-acre sanctuary to share the healing power of miniature animals with families, caregivers, and communities across Indiana and beyond.
As Chairwoman, Becky leads the board with both the heart of a mother and the expertise of a healthcare professional, ensuring that the farm's original mission remains at the center of every strategic decision.

Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a parent or primary caregiver of a child with autism or special needs who has personally witnessed the transformative impact of nature-based and animal-assisted environments. This board member will serve as the authentic voice of families navigating the unique joys and challenges of raising a neurodiverse child — ensuring our programs, resources, and community spaces always reflect their real-world needs.
Agricultural Visionary
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking an individual with hands-on experience in small-scale or hobby farming who is passionate about sustainable agricultural practices and community-rooted land stewardship. This board member will help guide the farm's operational development, offer expertise in miniature animal husbandry, and inspire those who dream of building their own meaningful connection to the land.
Clinical & Educational Voice
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a licensed therapist, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or special education professional who incorporates animal-assisted or nature-based methods into their practice. This board member will provide clinical credibility to our therapeutic programs, help shape evidence-based visit frameworks, and bridge the gap between professional practice and accessible community care.
Community Family Ambassador
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a family-focused community leader who understands the deep value of meaningful, accessible outdoor experiences for families of all backgrounds and abilities. This board member will represent the everyday families who visit Holiday Miniature Farm — ensuring our events, programs, and welcoming spaces remain joyful, inclusive, and memorable for every generation.
Agricultural Heritage Ambassador
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced farmer, homesteader, or agricultural educator who carries deep knowledge of rural traditions, animal care, and sustainable living practices. This board member will help preserve the authentic farm heritage at the heart of our mission, share expertise with our growing community of farm enthusiasts, and serve as a bridge between traditional farming values and our modern therapeutic mission.
Nonprofit & Community Connector
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a nonprofit director, community organization leader, school administrator, or social services agency head who coordinates group programs and understands the value of inclusive, therapeutic community spaces. This board member will help expand our reach to schools, care facilities, youth organizations, and underserved communities — ensuring that the healing power of our farm is accessible to those who need it most.
Policy & Advocacy Champion
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a current or former state or federal legislator, legislative aide, policy advocate, or disability rights champion with a focus on mental health, autism support, animal-assisted therapy, or agricultural policy. This board member will serve as our bridge to the legislative process — lending their expertise to our advocacy work, amplifying the stories of the families we serve, and helping ensure that the policies shaping access to care in Indiana and beyond reflect the lived experience of our community.
